Pamplona Perspectives
Voices from Abroad
As someone who has been periodically negotiating the meaning of home and her sense of belonging, I have always found conversations with fellow migrants insightful and inspiring. From the casual chat during a shared meal, to more intense moments triggered by homesickness or searching for a new sense of purpose, human connection and people's past experiences are to me a precious source of knowledge and perspective.
I have been living in Pamplona for just over a year now, and after having taken the time to breathe it in on my own, I feel that I am ready to see it through the eyes of others. Whether they are long term migrants or newly arrived, or even Pamplonese who have lived abroad and have now repatriated, I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of asking questions related to our shifting identity as we move around the world.
When you leave, will anywhere else ever feel like home again?
